Manuscript Features
Pagination restarts in a different hand from 1 at the beginning of the Bhvādi sub-chapter (after 39v, first foliation). Fol. *101 is mistakenly numbered 100.
The text was copied from the beginning of the work up to the end of the Lakārārthaprakriyā sub-chapter. The portion of the text from paddannomā ° (Pān. 6.1.63) to gherṅiti (Pān. 7.3.111) in the Ajantapuṃliṅga sub-chapter is lost.
On fols. 9r–39v (first foliation) a stroke that looks like ' is placed above the head-mark of sutras to indicate svara.
On the first dust-leaf of the manuscript is written uccairudāttaḥ nicchairanudāttaḥ nicchaiḥ adhobhāgamā uccāraṇa garinyā varṇa jo chan so anunāsika saṃjñā hos. At fol. 9r the handwriting changes. The new handwriting is finer. The handwriting of fols. 9r–39v (first foliation) of this manuscript and the folios of reel no. A 560/11 and of reel no. A 560/12 appears to be the same, with a continuation of text. Thus we can assume that they are three parts of one manuscript catalogued separately as three manuscripts.
There is one blank page before fol. 1v (second foliation), and on it are drawn lines along every side so as to form a rectangle, in which is written madhyakaumudi (!).. .. .. .. .. In the upper left and right of the page is written: 5544. The last blank page has a similar rectangle, on which is written: tiṅantasamāptapatrāṇi.
